    snowmack2.jpgAbout Snow Mack:

Seeking to interpret her dreams and visions, Snow’s artistic endeavors focus on surreal narratives. Through deciphering the qualities of dreams and visions, Snow aspires to capture the timeless mysteries of the soul on canvas. From the tranquility of a single portrait to the antics of comedic pop aliens, the results of Snow’s creative processes form a fluid jigsaw puzzle of her psyche.

Born in Tokyo, Japan, Snow is influenced by the places she visits in life, in dreams and in between. Snow graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. While at Art Center, Snow met Kevin Mack, a California native and creative soul. After graduation they married and followed an artistic life style that has ranged from performing and recording music in their band “The Fringe” to breaking into the exciting field of digital production for the entertainment industry.

Snow has had the pleasure of working on many films; “Apollo 13″, “Titanic”, “Sky Captain”, “What Dreams May Come”, “Fight Club”, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. Her most recent film project was “Ghost Rider”. Snow digitally creates matte paintings also known as background paintings for the films, completely transforming the filmed image from green screen to glowing mountain vista or moody dawn lit desert. A new outlet for her digital paint skill is working in advertising print, transforming photos shot in a studio to romantic mountain villa or surreal fantasy landscapes.

Snow Mack continues to develop as a fine artist and has been showing in galleries in California. In January 2008, Snow was invited to participate in a group show at the Strychnin Gallery in Berlin, Germany. The theme for that show was interpreting da Vinci’s timeless “Mona Lisa”. Currently living and creating in Los Angeles, California, Snow and Kevin have two adults sons, Jon and Ray.
